The ISL28 from IOTA Engineering is a UL Listed fluorescent emergency ballast that allows the same fixture to be used for both normal and emergency operation. In the event of a power failure, the ISL28 switches to the emergency mode and operates one of the existing lamps for 90 minutes. The unit contains a battery, charger, and inverter circuit in a single can. The ISL28 operates T5 lamps up to 28W and T8 lamps at an initial output of up to 500 lumens for one lamp. The ISL28 delivers high performance in a slim design, and is ideal for use in linear lighting fixtures where ballast compart ment space is limited. The ISL28 is suitable for use in damp locations and in enclosed and gasketed fixtures
