How does it work for two dogs?
The bungee section splits into two clips — one attaches to each dog's harness. You hold the single padded handle and the 360° swivel above the bungee stops the leads tangling when your dogs cross paths or change sides. Both dogs share the same shock absorption.
Do my two dogs need to be the same size?
Best results come from dogs of similar size and walking pace. If one dog is much stronger, the bungee will pull unevenly and the lighter dog can get tugged off balance. For very mismatched dogs (e.g. a Cavoodle and a Labrador), two separate leads are often easier.
What's the second handle for?
The second padded handle sits close to the clips — grab it instantly when you need close control. Useful at busy roads, when passing other dogs, at the vet, or anywhere you need to bring your dogs in quickly.
Will the bungee actually help with strong pullers?
Yes. The bungee absorbs the impact of a sudden lunge — meaning less jerk on your arm, less choking pressure on your dog's neck. It's not a training device that stops pulling, but it makes daily walks easier on both of you while you work on training.
Can I use just one clip if I only have one dog?
Yes — clip one to your dog's harness and let the second hang as a spare. Or attach both clips to a dual-D-ring harness for added security on a strong puller. The bungee works the same either way.
Is it suitable for small dogs?
The bungee is calibrated for medium to large dogs (8 kg and up). Small dogs won't generate enough force to engage the bungee, so a basic lead works better for them. For dogs under 8 kg, see our standard 1.5m lead.
Can I machine wash it?
Hand wash with mild soap in cool water and air dry flat. Machine washing degrades the bungee elastic and the metal swivel faster than necessary.
